Learning Your Machine with @FASCHINNDAILY

If I had a dollar for every time someone said, "I have a sewing machine but it's in a box at home," I'd be rich! Typically, I teach children but I decided to switch things up and host a free adult sewing class.

The idea was that everyone would bring their own sewing machine to the class. We offered a machine rental for those who wanted to attend but didn't own a machine. By the end of the class, you would learn all the basics of your machine. We taught machine maintenance as well as how to thread and wind a bobbin. My favorite part of the class was the free FASCHINN SEWCIAL HANDBOOK. Inside we listed important terms to know and much more!

There were two sessions, one from 1pm-3pm and the other from 4-6pm.  There were a mixture of students in my class from all walks of life and from old to young. The creative energy in the room was extremely contagious.

Looking forward to hosting the next one! My overall goal is to keep the craftmanship of sewing alive in this world of "fast fashion." There's no better satisfaction than creating something with your own two hands.
