Hartford Fashion Week

What an amazing experience! A few weeks ago I debuted my latest collection, "Anatomy of a Rose" at Hartford's Union Station as the opening designer for Hartford Fashion Week. I even can't describe the type of feeling of accomplishment and support that I felt. I was lucky enough to work with some amazing models and was able to meet some other creatives that weekend.

Hartford Fashion Week consisted of four days, Thursday VIP night, Friday 1st Runway Show, Saturday 2nd Runway show, and Sunday Trade Show.

The collection "Anatomy of a Rose" was inspired by just that. This ready-to-wear collection inspired by the working woman needs to be able to go from day to night. She is a hard-working socialite, professional who works around the clock. This collection provides comfortability and sophistication. The softness of petals represent femininity and delicacy. The soft drapes, stretch silks and full sleeves in the collection exemplify this. The thorns of a rose represent the beautiful but edgy side of this collection. The structured silhouettes, leather accents and exaggerated details will embody this concept. The idea is to merge both extremes of edge and femininity to birth a masterpiece of imperfect beauty.

I was beyond grateful that FASCHINN made the cover of the Hartford Courant!
